- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup almond milk or regular milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round or square cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Sift together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer for 3–5 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined. Fold in chopped almonds or chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack and allow it to cool completely before serving or decorating.
