Ingredients

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, parsley or chives

Instructions

  1. Steam broccoli until tender, about 4–5 minutes. Finely chop.
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. Mix well.
  3. Scoop 1 tablespoon of mixture and shape into tot forms. Repeat with remaining mix (yields ~18–20 tots).
  4. Place tots on a lined baking sheet, spray with oil, and bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway. Or air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes until crispy.
  5. Serve hot with dipping sauce of choice. Great for freezing and reheating.
