Golden, crispy Broccoli Cheddar Tots are the perfect healthy comfort snack—cheesy, veggie-packed, and great for kids or meal prep.
Ingredients

- 2 cups broccoli, finely chopped (fresh or frozen, steamed)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko, almond flour, or gluten-free)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Pepper, to taste
- Optional: Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, parsley or chives
Instructions
- Steam broccoli until tender, about 4–5 minutes. Finely chop.
- In a bowl, combine chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. Mix well.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon of mixture and shape into tot forms. Repeat with remaining mix (yields ~18–20 tots).
- Place tots on a lined baking sheet, spray with oil, and bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway. Or air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes until crispy.
- Serve hot with dipping sauce of choice. Great for freezing and reheating.
Notes
Use almond flour for keto or gluten-free versions. Add flax egg for egg-free option. Perfect with yogurt dip, sriracha mayo, or ranch.
