Description

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until light and creamy.
  4. Add butter: Melt butter and allow it to cool slightly before mixing it into the wet ingredients.
  5. Combine mixtures: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix just until combined (do not overmix).
  6. Fold in chocolate chips for extra richness.
  7. Pour batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
