Green Pineapple Margarita with mint garnish and pineapple slice in a salt-rimmed glass

Green Pineapple Margarita

Description

This tropical cocktail brings a vibrant green twist to the classic margarita with pineapple juice, lime, and fresh herbs like mint or basil—perfect for summer sipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz tequila (Blanco or Reposado)
  • 1.5 oz fresh pineapple juice
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 0.5 oz triple sec (optional)
  • 35 fresh mint or basil leaves
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup or agave nectar (to taste)
  • Salt or Tajín for rimming

Instructions

  1. Rim your glass with salt or Tajín by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it into your choice of seasoning.
  2. In a shaker, add tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice, triple sec (if using), fresh herbs, and sweetener.
  3. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds.
  4. Strain into a chilled, rimmed glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig, lime wheel, or pineapple wedge.

Notes

Use fresh pineapple juice and vibrant herbs for best results. For a smoky variation, substitute half the tequila with mezcal. Blend with ice for a frozen version or omit alcohol for a mocktail.
