- 1 package of strawberry gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 container of whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip)
- Fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions using eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into the greased pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Use a fork or skewer to poke holes halfway through the cake.
- Dissolve strawberry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water, stir until dissolved, then add 1/2 cup cold water.
- Pour gelatin mixture evenly over the cake so it seeps into the holes.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours until the gelatin is fully set.
- Spread whipped topping over the cake and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
