- 1 whole turkey (12–20 lbs depending on roaster size)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tbsp dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, sage)
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 cups chicken or turkey broth
Instructions
- Preheat the turkey roaster oven to 325°F.
- Clean and pat dry the turkey. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs. Rub with olive oil or butter.
- Stuff the cavity with onion, lemon, and garlic.
- Place turkey on a rack inside the roaster. Add broth to the bottom of the pan.
- Cover with the lid and roast for 13–15 minutes per pound, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Optional: For crispier skin, transfer to a conventional oven at 375°F for 10–15 minutes at the end.
- Let turkey rest for 15–20 minutes before carving. Serve with pan juices or gravy.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to ensure your turkey reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the breast. Avoid opening the lid too often to maintain temperature and moisture.
