With just a few simple ingredients, you can enjoy homemade potato waffles that rival any store-bought version.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Russet potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Optional Add-ins:

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (for extra flavor and crispiness)
  • ½ tsp paprika or garlic powder (for seasoning boost)

Instructions

  • Prepare the potatoes: Peel and grate the potatoes, then place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  • Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, flour, egg, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Stir well until everything is fully incorporated.
  • Preheat the waffle iron: Lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the waffles: Spoon the mixture into the waffle iron, spreading it evenly. Close the lid and cook for 4–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
